Well, Jacob leaves tomorrow for New York City! He is going with his youth group from church and will be working with a church in Brooklyn. He's all packed, well almost all packed! Has to be at the church before 6am. Wow, that's early!! Hopefully the early hour will keep me from crying my eyes out when I have to give him one last hug and tell him good-bye. The next day, Greg and I leave for our second honeymoon in Florida. Really, it is our first since we didn't really have a honeymoon. We were very poor so we spent one night in a hotel here in town (generously paid for by Greg's sister's boyfriend, Ty), then we went to Springfield, Illinois and stayed one night at a Motel 6. This time we are staying at a resort on the island of Captiva and have a room on the beach! What a difference 25 years makes, right?? Check out the resort at www.southseas.com
We've had a "rough patch" in our marriage recently and this trip is just the thing to celebrate our getting past said "rough patch"! God has really done some serious healing and reintroduced joy in our relationship. We still have a ways to go, and some of the feelings will be there forever, but we are doing great and in love! (awwww!)
